Finding Our Voices Thanks Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

Finding Our Voices: Healing Art Activities for Survivors of Sexual Assault thanks the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory at 2431 W Colorado Ave in Old Colorado City. Buy treats at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory March 22-28 and help fund the Finding Our Voices art show and sale on April 9, 10, 11. When you shop, be sure to tell the clerks that you are there to support Finding Our Voices.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is donating a portion of their sales for the week of March 22-28th to four different non-profits as part of the OCC Cares Charity Drive. RMCF has chosen FOV as one of the non-profits to support.

The four Non-Profits participating with Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory are: Ronald McDonald House, Westside Cares, Designated Driver of Colorado Springs and Finding Our Voices.

“Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is happy to partner with these deserving non-profits that help to make our city a better place and ease the stress of people in need,” said Mazie Baalman, owner of the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. "Since a portion of ALL sales during the week go to these non-profits, we encourage their supporters to come out and buy their Easter chocolate a little early. That way the donations will be larger!”

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is a member of the Old Colorado City Associates (OCCA) with participating members helping raise money for local charities in the Colorado Springs area. Each of the OCCA merchant members will be able to sponsor and partner with a local charity/non-profit during a 1-week period (March 22nd – 28th) with a predetermined percentage of the sales being donated to that particular charity.

This opportunity would allow the local charities to receive much needed funds during these difficult economic times. Each charitable organization would be able to also promote their sponsoring OCC merchant amongst their demographics base by encouraging them to shop, dine and give locally in Old Colorado City during this selected period. There will also be a Charity Fair to recognize all participating charities on March 27 from 11am to 3pm in Bancroft Park during the Old Colorado City Easter Egg Hunt.

Please contact Mazie Baalman of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, at 719-635-4131 for information on placing orders for Easter and helping donate to Ronald McDonald House, Westside Cares, Designated Driver of Colorado Springs and Finding Our Voices.
